This global organization seeks a Quantitative Scientist who will be responsible for the support of corporate data management, digital platform development, prototyping, and other initiatives.  He or she will help drive decisions that optimize cost and lead-time on strategic and tactical levels.

 

This Quantitative Scientist will use advanced mathematical models, operations research techniques, quantitative genetics and strong business acumen to deliver insight and recommendations for Product Development science and business problems. He or she will apply mathematical modelling and other optimizing methods to develop and interpret information that assists management with decision making and policy formulation.

 

Job Description

  • Serve as resource for experimental design, quantitative genetics and data analysis methodologies for target Product Development scientists
  • Maintain expertise in the proper application and use of computational tools for the management of materials, data management and analysis, and reporting
  • Serve as subject matter expert for ongoing development and optimization of critical computational applications
  • Serve as the user support for users within the defined work group, for proper application and use of computational tools for the management of materials, data management and analysis, and reporting
  • Conduct regular new user and refresher training on selected computational tools
  • Communicate opportunities for improvement of computational applications to the development or maintenance teams, based on personal use or user feedback
  • Prepare and conduct training to R&D community on relevant topics of statistics and data science

 

Qualifications

  • PhD or Masters in Engineering, Math, Physics, Statistics, Computational Biology or a related field
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in quantitative data science, statistics, and data management supporting Product Development and Operations Research for global operating companies.
  • Experience with machine learning algorithms and statistical techniques is highly desired
  • Expertise in most of the following: Monte Carlo simulations, decisions analysis, stochastic models, system dynamics and forecasting
  • Experience identifying and solving analytical problems involving big data sets using quantitative approaches to generate insights from data
  • Experience with commercial optimization software (i.e., CPLEX, Xpress, Gurobi etc) is desired
  • Experience with statistical programming packages like R, MATLAB and Python required
  • Experience in using MIP/LP/IP/QP optimization packages in either of R/Python/Matlab is highly desired

Our client, a top global technology communications leader, seeks a senior data architect for a senior hands-on strategic role.  We’re seeking a candidate with the ability to lead the design, implementation and maintenance of enterprise data models across all domains.  He or she will be responsible in the overall design of the data ecosystem including Integrated Data Warehouse (IDW), ODS and Hadoop Data Lake in addition to mentoring data architects and developing a roadmap of the future state data ecosystem.

 

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Architect, design, and build enterprise class relational and dimensional data models.
  • Responsible for driving design reviews ensuring integration of data across multiple domains and design of semantic layer for data access

Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on skill with data modeling, data architecture for near-real time data ingestion, API design, advanced reusable data profiling techniques, and design of semantic layer.
  • Strong working knowledge of Teradata, Hive, HBase, and Postgres
  • Experience in data architecture for handling streaming and batch data within data warehouse landscape
  • Understanding of Big Data technologies, Hadoop and modern data architectures like Spark & NoSQL structures
  • Experience in AWS (S3, Redshift, RDS, etc.)
